This is how I feel today...

On top of the G.D. world. I woke up this morning and just felt like being really, really, really pretty, so I gave myself a full hour of primp time. Luxury! And then I went to my closet and put on a flannel shirt and my rattiest pair of jeans because....I am painting today!

My best friends are coming over and helping me paint my bathroom and my bedroom (and maybe the hallway, yeah guys? Guys?). Tomorrow morning I will wake up to the palest whispery seashell pink blush tinged walls. The color is called soap bubbles. It calls to mind that moment just before sunset on a bright summer day, when the clouds take on a faintly rosy glow. I can hardly wait. Right now my bedroom is a rich chocolate brown. Gorgeous, yes, but not at all conducive to waking up on cold, dark mornings! And just imagining the summer sun filtering through the curtains onto pale pink walls makes me want to hug myself with glee. Color is so important, don't you think?

Oh sweet lordy, that bathroom. Can we just take a moment?

P.S. this is my 98th post. When I get to one hundred, I think I'll do a giveaway, to show my appreciation for my awesome readers. So keep posted!

  2. What paint maker makes this color? Because I've been trying to decide what color to paint over the dingy olive green walls in the room where I take my outfit shots, and I might just LOVE a very pale blush.

  3. Cynthia, the maker is Dutch Boy. Good luck! I can say that it reflects light BEAUTIFULLY, so it will probably be great for photos!

  6. Soap bubbles. Makes me think of Mr. Bubbles bubble bath! Fun! Love the pink peony. I'd like a bouquet of those to brighten up the winter!

Yes, we love color! Every room downstairs (7 including hallway) is painted something other than white. We even have a blackboard hallway wall!

    Have a fabulous weekend!
